ABOUT US:

"YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A CITY
SET ON A HILL CANNOT BE HIDDEN."
MATTHEW 5:14

OUR MISSION:

We exist to be a RADIANT light in our community, equipping people to be fully devoted followers of Christ to shine God's love and hope for all to experience.

OUR ANTHEM:

“BE RADIANT” - “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you… Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy” - Isaiah 60: 1 & 5 NIV

A NOTE FROM OUR PASTOR:

Welcome to Radiant Church GC! When you walk through the doors at Radiant, our prayer is that you feel like you’re a part of the family. Our ultimate desire is to put you in an atmosphere to experience the presence of God in a life-transforming way! We believe that church is more than a weekend service on Sunday, it is encouraging each and every person to engage with God in a personal, intimate relationship.

Alison and I, along with our children, (Abby, Emma and Spencer) invite you to take this journey with us! If you are looking to put down roots and find a church to call home, join us any Sunday morning at 10am Central - we would love to meet you!

RADIANT VALUES:

Our cultural values uphold the vision and shape our culture, our actions and attitudes. This is the genetic code that makes us Radiant. We can’t do everything—but what we, as a community are called by God to do, we do with excellence.

Word Centered | 2 Timothy 3:14-17

We value the Word of God as the steadfast source of truth that sustains us and as a powerful catalyst for personal and cultural transformation.

Spirit Empowered | 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

We value the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst, marking us as God’s people and manifesting Himself miraculously.

Family Oriented | John 3:16

We value all people, regardless of their label or status and embrace each individual as uniquely loved, pursued and gifted by God.

Kingdom Focused | 2 Timothy 3:14-17

We value loyalty and commitment to the Kingdom of God and Jesus our King above all other allegiances.

Mission Motivated | Matthew 28:18-20

We value the urgent responsibility and privilege given to us by God - to proclaim the Gospel to all people, tribes and nations.

You could think of them as five strands in the spiritual genetic code, the DNA of our hearts, of what it means to truly Be Radiant.

BE RADIANT!

What We Believe.

The Trinity

It is the testimony of both the Old and New Testaments and of the Christian Church that God is both One and Triune. The biblical revelation testifies that there is only one God and that He is eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the creator and sustainer of all things, and He created the universe in love. He created man in His own image for fellowship and called man back to Himself through Christ after the rebellion and fall of man. Jesus Christ is eternally God. He was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning, and through Him all things were made. For man’s redemption, He left heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit through the Virgin Mary; henceforth, He is forever one Christ with two natures – God and man – in one person. The Holy Spirit is God, the Lord and giver of life, who is active in the Old Testament and given to the Church in fullness at Pentecost. He empowers the saints for service and witness, cleanses man from the old nature and conforms us to the image of Christ. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, subsequent to conversion, releases the fullness of the Spirit and is evidenced by the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Scripture

We affirm that the Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, is alone the only infallible, inspired Word of God, and that its authority is ultimate, final and eternal. It cannot be added to, subtracted from or superseded in any regard. The Bible is the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness and practical Christian conduct.

Salvation

The Word of God declares clearly that salvation is a free gift of God, based on the merits of the death of His Son, and is appropriated by faith. Salvation is affected by personal repentance, belief in the Lord Jesus (justification) and personal acceptance of Him into one’s life as Lord and Savior (regeneration). The new life in Christ includes the privileges of adoption and inheritance in the kingdom of God’s beloved Son.

Atonement

Christ’s vicarious death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world, but its benefits are only applicable to those who repent and receive Jesus as personal Savior. Healing – body, soul and spirit – and all of God’s provisions for His saints are provided for in the atonement, but these must be appropriated.

The Christian Life

We believe that the Scriptures portray the life of the saint in this world to be one of balance between what is imputed to us as Christians and what is imparted to us according to our faith and maturity. Hence, God’s provision for His children is total, and the promises are final and forever. The shortcomings of the individual and of the Church are because of the still-progressing maturing work of God. The Christian life is filled with trials, tests and warfare against a spiritual enemy. For those abiding in Christ until their deaths of His return, the promises of eternal blessing in the presence of God are assured. To remain faithful through all circumstances of life requires dependence upon the Holy Spirit and a willingness to die to personal desires and passions.

The Church

We believe that the church consists of all those who truly believes in Jesus Christ and His atoning death and who trust in Him as their Lord and Savior. We believe that the local church is the vehicle of God working in the earth to extend and establish His Kingdom.

Baptism & Communion

We believe that Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: water baptism and communion. Both are available to all believers.

Baptism is the outward sign of what God had already done in the individual’s life and is a testimony to all that the person now belongs to Jesus. It is identification with Jesus and is affected in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Communion is a commemoration of the death of the Lord and is done in remembrance of Him until He comes again; it is a sign of our participation in Him.

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Church at Pentecost, in power, baptizing believers into the Body of Christ and releasing the gifts of the Spirit to them. The Spirit brings the permanent indwelling presence of God to us for spiritual worship, personal sanctification, building up the Church, gifting us for ministry and driving back the power of Satan by the evangelization of the world through proclaiming the Message of Jesus and demonstrating the works of Jesus.

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is our abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the filling or the empowering of the Holy Spirit, often a subsequent experience to salvation, for ministry today. We believe in the present ministry of the Spirit and in the exercise of all of the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit. We practice the laying on of hands for the empowering of the Spirit, for healing and for recognition and empowering of those whom God has ordained to lead and serve the Church.

Marriage

Marriage is a covenant relationship between a man* and a woman, established by God as the foundation of family and human society reflecting the nature of Christ’s sacrificial love and devotion for His bride, the Church.
* as defined by the biological sex/gender a person is born

Final Judgment and Reward

We believe that God’s kingdom has come in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, that it continues to come in the ministry of the Spirit through the Church, and that it will be consummated in the glorious, visible and triumphant appearance of Christ– His return to the earth as King. After Christ returns to reign, He will bring about the final defeat of Satan and all of his minions and works, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment and the eternal blessing of the righteous and eternal conscious punishment of the wicked. Finally, God will be all in all and His kingdom, His rule and reign, will be fulfilled in the new heavens and the new earth, recreated by His mighty power, in which righteousness dwells and in which He will forever be worshiped.
